A funny thing happened to me on my way to back surgery:
I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Join me as I figure out what this means.

Pedestrian Crossing
I carry a tray of unwashed crystal glasses precariously
Through traffic.
The errand is unclear.
While trying to cross the street
Safely,
A car casually careens by,
Upsetting the tray and me.
The tumblers tumble, the glass
Crinkles, tinkles and falls; I cry out!
Bending to view the damage, I see
Quite clearly, the glass remains whole.
Reaching to reclaim the crystal;
I touch the first, second and the rest.
They crumble at the touch of fingertips.
My mind fogs
I fall, tumbling, and spill onto the concrete.
A soiled crystal pierces me, bloodlessly.
